Sarah Beeby is a UK - based artist and filmmaker whose work moves between storytelling and visual design. She is drawn to the magical space between what is known and what can never be known.
In 2024, she completed Gardening — a surreal fantasy set in the mind-garden of a woman on a quest for justice. The film was awarded the BFI Short Form Animation Grant, with additional support from Rooftop Films and The Animation Workshop’s International Artist Residency. It has since screened widely at BAFTA, BIFA, and Oscar-qualifying festivals, earning multiple awards.
Sarah first gained recognition as a commercial director, creating animated fashion and art films for Chanel, COS, and AnOther Magazine. In 2013, she was commissioned by legendary designer Azzedine Alaïa to create an animation for his debut fragrance—establishing the poetic, signature animated style of Alaïa Parfum.
She has also contributed as a background painter to acclaimed series such as Summer Camp Island (Cartoon Network) and The Midnight Gospel (Netflix).
A graduate of Wimbledon College of Art (BA Fine Art, First Class) and the Royal College of Art (MA Animation), Sarah’s work is surreal, poetic, and a little wild—combining warmth with quiet strangeness.
Whimsical worlds, made for dreamers and outsiders.
